That’s right, I’m going back to Ground Kontrol! I will be performing live with: John Mendenhall and DJ Broken Window. I’ll be doing a few KaW songs and John will be doing a few WMD songs. Broken Window will be doing is usual with added twists! Don’t miss out on this awesome performance.

Additionally, we will be teaming up for a live beatbox jam. We’ll be making music live on stage. Complete improv where anything can happen! :) John will be representing Korg with the EMX Electribe, and I’ll be representing Roland with the MC-909.

Be sure to come on out and see the performance if you are local. (21+ only, sorry!)

Thanksgiving 06 update! [Nov. 27th, 2006|01:34 am]

It’s hard to believe I started the KW site almost a year ago? Yikes! Time is sure flying by!

I’d like to start off my update by thanking all the nice people for their comments about the October ITG news. It’s been a pleasure to receiving such positive emails & comments from players and fans from all over the world! Keep on Groove’n! :)

Things have been very busy lately in the music world for me. I just signed a deal to allow KaW music to be featured in several television networks and advertsiements. It should be rather exciting to hear tunes over these networks. I’ll be sure to keep you posted.

The Most exciting news that I have; is the expansion of the studio this month. That’s right!; we have expanded the rack + synth arsenal by 30%! Please welcome the Roland JP8080 and the Emu Orbit3 to the KaW family. Additionally, the Electrix Warp Factory, Edirol um880, and Behringer rx1602 have also been installed to compliment the new additions. These new tools are incredible and have already sparked several musical ideas. I look forward to using my new audio paint brushes in the future songs.
I hope everyone had a great holiday, more news to come!

I really appreciate things like this... [Oct. 12th, 2006|10:15 pm]
A link given to me by somebody.

http://www.bemanistyle.com/forum/showthread.php?p=140500

Jragon "Question answered, even though the long versions of KeeL's music isn't really worth the price IMO."

FYI, all my sale prices are set at a very ULTRA low price. This is usually well under the itunes "99 cents per track" How much cheaper should I make it? I barely make income from the sales as it is! I do my best to make it extremely low priced for the people who enjoy it. It's not like us musicians see loads of cash ya know... If you don't like something, just ignore it! Why ruin it for others or give negative vibes? Why bother?

That being said, yes I really appreciate your support on this. Good thing this is your own opinion and the several other sales and opinions I get don't agree with you. (Or else I probably wouldn't make a huge effort) I bet if you didn't know I was associated with something you'd suddenly have a positive opinion eh? Lastly, it's always nice how somebody ends something with "IMO" and then locks a thread on a public forum so that nobody else can voice their opinion. Way to be a great moderator!

Yes, I love how people can be so cynical on this wonderful thing we call internet... Everyday people flame and bash things tell no end. Why? What's the point? Is there really a reason? Does it make you feel powerful to be the all mighty "opinion god" on various phbb's? If that's what you want, go ahead and continue to refresh threads and get on with your bad self. The world will continue to revolve without caring about your ego trip on some fantasy forum.

Evolution is a funny thing. Something starts, develops, and eventually finds the way. A foundation has been set! The future is very unclear and yet so bright. You can never go back to the beginning, yet you yearn to change the future from the past. Is it like a puzzle? Can results be manipulated from the ever changing pieces?

The journeys’ knowlege is always within. Would you have chosen a different equation now possessing the wisdom?

Thank you for contributing and making it possible.

Well, I’m back in one piece thankfully! :O Foy and I had a lot of fun attending the Euro World Championships and I’ve finally added some photos to my Flickr page!

The concert went very well and a big THANK YOU goes out to “The Lost Satellites” for providing a video for the people that couldn’t make it. You can view a video of the performance and additional freestyle video from Foy and I HERE -

It was great to see all the players from around Europe enjoying ITG. IT’s been really exciting watching ITG grow (from the small beta test machine at Ilussionz) to all different parts of the world. I was quite impressed with the players I saw and I do believe the skill levels are climbing rapidly. Thank you Europe and Positive Gaming. Machine Dance is here to stay! :)

Foyboy and I will soon be departing for the IDO European Championships and World Cup in Norway on the 11-13 of August. The event is said to have 70 different attendees from over 15 different countries! They’ll all be competing in the ultimate machine dance tournament to date.

Along with the fun of the event, I’ll also be doing a very small performance for the players who wish to attend. Over all, the entire event looks to be very promising! Foy and I look forward to meeting the Europe ITG players! Be sure to come on by and introduce yourself! As always, be sure to check back for a final summary/pictures of the event! :)

So, I’ve decided to finally do an update after a few months…. Yeah I know, better late then never.

The performance at ground kontrol went very well. John and I will be coing back to make some regular appearances at the venue. Big thanks to Ground Kontrol and DJ broken Window. We had a blast!

(here are some pictures of the performance, thanks John!)

Some poeople recognised that my Birthday was on the 4th. What did I do? I had a lot of fun, that’s what I did. I’ve updated my Flickr site with some photos from the day. i had to be very careful about selecting pictures; some were completely off the wall! (grin) JULY 4th 2006 - Kyle’s Birthday

(Big thanks to my Forum admin “Norbert” for calling me and wishing me a happy birthday.) Thank you also goes out to all the other people who recognised me/contacted me on the 4th as well!

Lastly, I’ve been hard at work revamping my sites. Be sure to drop on by and check out the new design at kyle-ward (dot) com. I’m hoping it’s more user friendly for people and a cleaner design. Toss me your thoughts here or fill out a question on the revamped FAQ section.

What’s going on in the ITG world? A lot! I can’t wait for the future ITG ports, it’s looking very good right now. I think everyone will be happy with the results.

Tell next time,

K out! :D

First weekend in Vancouver, WA! [Apr. 25th, 2006|02:35 am]
[Tags|]

Originally published at http://www.kyle-ward.com. You can comment here or there.

I’ve spent my first week & weekend in the Portland/Vancouver from Seattle. It’s nice being back in my ol’ hood! :)

I got a chance to hang out with some old friends and enjoy the new pool I was physced about! YES IT IS THAT GOOD! Man…Olympic Size swimming from 8am to 10pm! OK, this is a true utopia.

So… I’m also happy that I’ve almost finished Stargate Sg-1 complete season 1-5. Check it out!

(season 3-5 GOOD STUFF! - Why does this show R0×0r so much?) hahah

And Finally, after enjoying several hours of Stargate (while I work in the foreground) I decided to go visit my old hangout Ultrazone. I use to play serious lasertag back in the day…. I mean SERIOUS laser tag ok? Sheesh, I’m not even joking around here people.

Ultrazone was cool because we use to have “lockdown” parties all the time from 8pm to 3am. Lasertag can really be fun if you play with the right people. It’s sort of like an inexpensive paintball game. It really depends on the quality of the area though too… Ultrazone’s happens to have a great layout too.

(I still got the magic! #1 score for 5 games straight…woohoo!)

ahhhhh yeeeeeeeahhhh. Han Solo with the ~ 30,0000 score. Booya (does a little dance) Speaking of dance, I was really happy to find a Pump it Up at Ultrazone. Man….I’m gonna be there every weekend I swear. (Well not really….too much work to do of course. hahah)

As you can see, things are working out so far. I’m really enjoying the PDX life once again. It’s going to be a lot of fun. Anyway, until next time. Peace!

Well, It’s a fresh new week!

I’ve now moved from Seattle to Vancouver. Yes indeed; enjoying life in southern Washington once again! However, not all is done yet. Hopefully, the move to my new permanent location will go well after returning from ACEN 2006 and E3.

What did I do for my final week in Seattle? I decided to walk around and enjoy life in the emerald city one last time. Here are some memories that I uploaded to my flikr page.
My beloved DDR 5th mix at Seattle Center. RIP!

http://static.flickr.com/56/131241282_71ca469980_m.jpg

Gameworks and it’s Sticky pads!  (2 were actually sticking at one point)  I actually got told that I couldn’t “freestyle” or do any handstands ever again. Oh well…It’s appearantly for “my protection”. (hehehe)

Xuxa strikes again!

Foy & I doing some picture taking….*cough*

Thank you to being a big part of my life for the past 5 years Seattle. I’ll certainly be back sometime soon.
Hello Portland/Vancouver…. I’m back and ready for action! :)

Well Howdy DooDly there! :)

I’m happy to say that the performance at Sakuracon went VERY well. Here are a few images of the performance. A full set can be found HERE

Have a look:

On Stage!

Crowd Dancing!

Take Me Back (LIVE!)

Performance!

Big Thank you goes out to:

John Mendenhall - He was up there rocking out with me the entire show!
Kid Whatever - followed up on Saturday with an amazing performance. I was even part of the ‘Conga line’ on the dance floor on Saturday!
Jon DMN - Helping with my setup and encouraging me to play at the event.
Ross H - For coordination of the whole event & getting things done.
My parents - Thanks joining in on the fun and making an appearance that evening!
In other news; I’ve decided to move from my home (of 5 years) here in Seattle, WA I’m in the process of figuring out my new home/destination (still up in the air actually). It’s very possible that I will be returning to the PDX area after living in Seattle for 5 years.

What does this change? Not much really… I’ll still be rock’n and doing what I always do regardless! :) It’ll be nice to return to my Portland/Vancouver roots and get back into the southern Washington swing of things. I’ve already found an Olympic sized swimming pool that will be sure to see me daily! (evil grin)

ITG’s future is turning out incredibly well. I have no doubt that It’ll continue to progress like it has since day1. Thanks to everyone who’s been impacted by ITG so far. It’s been a pleasure supplying everyone with the fun that ITG really holds inside.

More news later!

I’m happy to report that both KaW CD’S “Synthsations” & “Urban Comatose” can now be purchased at your local Tower Records. I’ve been very happy with the release of these CD’s. Additionally, you might start to hear these play on your local electronic music stations. (If you are lucky to have them) :)

OscillatorX has also been in full force lately. It’s been a pleasure working with my old John Mendenhall after such a long break. People have really liked our latest Oscillator X track, “Dance All Night”.
We have more plans for tunes…just you wait!

Next addition to my music overload news… Pete Ellison and I have decided to put on a liveshow at Sakuracon this year in Seattle. I hope to see everyone there… it’ll most certainly be a blast for all.

Here is the announcement -

Over the holdiays, John and I were able to get together and record two new tracks at CyberDreams Studio. The Electro stomper “DJ Superstar” was the first track recorded, followed by the very Eurodance “Dance All Night”.
We had a great time recording these and started two additional Oscillator X songs as well as collaborating on a new When Machines Dream track.

Check out “DJ Superstar” and “Dance All Night” at John’s Soundclick site!
